Sean Brendin Doyle

He's here! Sean Brendin Doyle was born Monday, November 29th at 11:08 pm. He weighed 9 lbs., 15 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long. Not a small baby by any means. It's a good thing he came early! Already we can tell he has such a sweet patient personality. The kids are so excited to have him here too. They love their little brother. These are some of the really cute pitcures taken while we were at the hospital. I'm wishing I could go back and retake my other kids' newborn mugshots! More photos to come soon!

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. Before the big day, we went to a pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins. The kids always enjoy this part. It was so muddy after all the rain we've had that we wore our boots. It's a good thing!
The next night we carved the pumpkins. Each of the kids picked out a pattern and helped pull out seeds and mark the pattern and then John and I carved. Erin pretty much did the whole thing on her own this year! She had a little help here and there to speed her along, but she did most of the work. That was awesome! Then John and I each carved our own. What a great tradition.

Friday was a big day, cause we had a Halloween parade at school, so we had to dress the kids up bright and early. John dressed up for work too. He came up with his own costume.
That night was the ward Halloween party. It was a lot of fun. We had a soup/chili cook-off, then a costume parade. The YM and YW did games for the Kids, and then there was a Trunk-or-Treat.

After the party John reminded me to take a picture of everybody together. I'm glad I did, cause the next night was crazy! We got ready quickly, cause it had been pouring rain, and was just letting up. I didn't know how long the lull would last, so I shoved them all out the door to trick-or-treat. Then we went to our neighbor's house for a hot dog roast that ended up indoors because of the rain. I thought for sure it would rain all evening, but after dinner it let up again, so the kids all went trick-or-treating together. By the time we got home, it was late, and they were all wet and tired. We took off the costumes and make-up before I even though of pictures. I did get pictures of the morning after though. I can't believe how much candy they got! I guess that's what I get for sending them out twice!

September!

So, I guess I should fill you all in on our very busy month of September. Erin started school on Monday Aug. 30th, the day after we got home from Lake Powell. She was a little nervous about not having met her teacher, but now she says that she has the best teacher ever!

Devin had his first day of Kindergarten that Friday, Sept. 3rd. He was so excited about starting big kid school! He loves his teacher, and going to school like a big kid. His only gripe: Not being able to go all day like Erin.

My little brother Roger blessed his sweet little baby Alyssa on Sept. 5th. It was a beautiful blessing, and they had a yummy luncheon afterwards at a near by park. That was a great idea, cause the kids were able to play and run around after lunch.

Karate has gone to a whole new level lately. John and Erin both earned their red belts on Tues. Sept. 7th. I am so proud of them for sticking in there for so long. They are now working on their Brown belts. after that it's Black! What will it be like to have 2 black belts in the house!?! I think we will be well protected.

Erin has been growing her hair out for a long time! Years actually, and we decided that it was time to cut it. Here is the before picture.
She decided to donate her hair to Locks of Love, who make wigs for children who don't have hair due to childhood sicknesses. What a great cause! I'm so proud of her! The lady who cut her hair was telling us that she's had girls crying and moms freaking out when they found out how short their hair was going to be, but Erin was excited and happy to be donating her hair. I think it looks really cute!
Well our little Mr. Colin has had his 3rd Birthday! I can't believe it's been 3 years! He is such a fun kid! He's so talkative, and sweet! He mirrors everything that his big brother and sister do.
He got cars and a big car case, and tools too. This is great cause he loves to copy his dad too, especially when he's out in the garage building things. That tool set has seen a lot of action all ready!
Happy birthday to my sweet car-loving, talkative, cuddle buddy, Colin.

Lake Powell

We had the opportunity again this year to go to Lake Powell with some great friends of ours. We stay on a house boat in the middle of nowhere out on the lake and swim, ski, boat, and relax to our heart's content. This year the big thing to do was the double tube! Sounds dangerous, but they all really had a great time! We also got to jump off the top of the boat this year! Pretty scary if you ask me.

John's skiing has majorly improved this year!

Erin enjoyed everything, Skiing, knee boarding, the slide, and the tubes.

Devin's favorite parts were swimming in the deep water, and riding the water wienie. He also tried the knee board again and enjoyed it, and went down the slide!

John took the kids on a couple of rides on the wave runners too.
Colin discovered that he loves the water. Every morning the first thing he would ask was "Can we go swimming!

He also loved jumping off the deck on the back of the boat. he did this over and over and over.
As for me. I couldn't do all the risky stuff, but I did swim a lot. It helped me cool down and keep the swelling down. I also went on a couple of SLOW water wienie rides.

We had a great vacation. Thank you to our friends for inviting us again.

Since we were down in southern Utah, we decided to drop by my brother's house is Las Vegas. He and his wife just had twins! They were only 1 week old and I can't believe that Ryan and Jocelyn let us stay with them, but it was so fun to see those cute babies! Evan was 6 lbs, 7 oz, and Jared was 6 lbs. 15 oz. Talk about big fir twins! But they were so tiny! It's hard to believe that people can get that tiny! My kids loved holding them! And I got to change a tiny diaper. I'm just getting geared up for things to come! Thanks for letting us stay guys!

August has been very busy. And since we're going away again, I decided it was time to update you all. We all had a great morning at the splash park near us. The kids really love it! Especially colin.

We have been waiting and waiting for our chickens to start laying eggs. John built this hen house for them in June, and they seem to be happy, but no eggs. Finally we got one!!! At the beginning of August, the John and the kids found an egg! They cooked it up right away and ate it! They definitely taste better fresh! Here's a picture of our Happy chickens!
My little brother Roger and his wife Tasha Just had their 1st baby. She is such a cutie, and the first baby girl since Erin! Her name is Alyssa.
Erin's favorite thing lately to do with Colin is to dress him up like a girl. Colin just loves getting dressed up and lets her do what ever she wants. These are the results:
Devin seeing all the excitement, decided to get in on this attention.
With only a couple more weeks of summer left til the kids go back to school, we decided to go camping. We went up to the High Uintas where it's cool, and neither John nor I have been there before. We camped in a smaller campground with a river running right through! It was so fun to sit on the banks and watch the kids play. We drove up to the Provo River falls they were beautiful! There are several layers to the falls too, so it was fun to hike along and see all the different falls. We also went to Mirror Lake. It's such a peaceful place! What a beautiful place.
While we were out and about, John decided it was a good time to take a profile of me, cause I'm definately starting to show.
