We went away for a long weekend last weekend and had a great time! We stayed at my parents' condo in Bear Lake. The weather was cool, but that just meant more color in the mountains. It was so beautiful! 
The first day there, we had John's former mission companion Chad and his wife Jamie come stay with us. It was great to spend some time with them. 
We got to drive right out on the beach one day and play by the water. The kids played in the sand. John and I played frisbee, and we had a picnic lunch in the back of our car. It was a great day! Colin loved the sand! 
The best part of the weekend was just hanging out together. They had an indoor swimming pool that we visited everyday, they also had a playground, and we watched a few movies together too. It was a nice relaxing getaway for all of us. 
On the way home, we stopped at a campground in Logan Canyon for a picnic lunch. The colors in the canyon were so beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice.

I LOVE bear lake! How fun. We didn't get to go this year. I'm hoping we get to go next year with my parents to their condo... (Hint Hint mom).
We went to Bear Lake once...it was not a pleasant experience but your trip looks like a blast! Also, so great to see Chad again as i have not seen him since Duane and I got married. The kids are just adorable!

That looks like a perfect getaway. There's not a prettier place for fall colors than cache county.
